2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Value

The 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser wagon stands out in the market not just for its distinctive shape but also for its interior space and versatility, fuel efficiency, and for the performance provided by the turbocharged engines offered in the Touring and Limited models.

2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Changes

The PT Cruiser loses its convertible body style for 2009, leaving just the 4-door wagon in LX, Touring and Limited trims. A 2.4L 4-cylinder engine comes in both 150-horsepower naturally aspirated and 180-horsepower turbocharged versions. The base model LX comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the Touring and Limited editions get a standard 4-speed automatic.

2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Overview

With retro-styling inspired by the 1930s panel vans that were later converted to surf wagons and hot rods, the front-wheel drive 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser mixes classic styling cues with modern fuel efficiency and conveniences. The versatile seat arrangement in the PT Cruiser wagon allows for more rear space than most vehicles its size and the back seats can either fold forward or be removed completely to expand cargo space and to accommodate objects up to eight feet long. The PT Cruiser wagon is available in three trim levels-LX, Touring, and Limited. A 150-horsepower, 2.4L 4-cylinder engine is standard on the LX and Touring models, while the 180-horsepower, turbocharged 2.4L engine comes standard in the Limited and is optional in the Touring. A 5-speed manual is available on the base only, as is a 4-speed automatic, while the 4-speed automatic is the transmission of choice in both Touring and Limited models. The entry-level model has power locks and windows and rides on 15-inch steel wheels. The Touring adds 16-inch aluminum wheels, power mirrors and seats, and stain-resistant cloth fabric, plus many popular features such as air conditioning, Sirius satellite radio, a fold-flat front passenger seat and a security alarm. The Limited includes 17-inch aluminum wheels, leather-trimmed bucket seats, anti-lock brakes, polished interior and exterior accents, a power moonroof and a different suspension tune. Front, side curtain and front seat-mounted side-impact air bags are standard on all 2009 PT Cruiser wagons. Popular options include a 6-speaker Boston Acoustics stereo, UConnect hands-free communication (Limited only), and several interior and exterior chrome accent pieces.
